UK Surf Skate Expo

As the official video partner for the first UK Surf & Skate Expo, we told the story end-to-end: building the hype in the months before, capturing the raw energy of the weekend, and closing it with a cinematic after-movie. From athlete features and brand activations to real community moments, every piece of content helped define the look, feel, and identity of the Expo’s debut year.

Delivered Daily​

To show the community what the Expo is all about, and drive footfall for the days ahead, we produced a 'daily wrap'. Filmed, edited and posted all on the same day, each day of the event.

Pre-Expo: Building The Buzz

​

​In the run-up to the inaugural UK Surf & Skate Expo, we were tasked to create content that builds excitement, connects with the community and put the event firmly on the map. From athlete features to beach interviews, brand collaborations, and award-show intros, each piece has brought the event closer to the spotlight.

Phase 1 - The Introduction

To capture the energy of this launch, we teamed up with 7x National Women’s Surfing Champion and all-round icon Lucy Campbell. Over three locations, we filmed four social-first videos designed to embody the spirit of surf and skate culture, setting the stage for an unmissable event, generating a combined 83,000+ views.

Phase 2 - Community Buzz

​

To spark organic hype, we hit the beach, catching surfers straight out of the water for quick-fire interviews. With three questions and a chance to win Expo tickets and Wavelength goodies, we aimed to capture the attention of the local surfing community.

​

To engage Cornwall’s business community, we teamed up with John Brown, the CEO of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce for a tongue-in-cheek video campaign to show the UK Surf & Skate Expo as an opportunity worth jumping on, turning a business call-out into something that got the right people talking.

Phase 4 - Event Info

​

To deliver key event details in a way that matches the energy of the event, we teamed up with Allannah Brown, Founder of Gather & Glide. Allannah walked viewers through everything they needed to know, from dates and tickets to what to expect on the day, keeping it clear, engaging, and on-brand.
